Since joining Algatech, Adéla has been investigating the biogenesis and organization of photosynthetic complexes in cyanobacteria, with special emphasis on Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 (Straskova et al., 2018; Yu et al., 2018; Straskova et al., 2019). She uses techniques such as generation of Synechocystis mutant strains, protein isolation, analysis of protein complexes based on two-dimensional PAGE separation, and confocal microscopy methods. She has recently returned from maternity leave and have renewed her focus on researching the proteins involved in the initial stages of photosystem II assembly and quality control.
