Natálie graduated from the Faculty of Science of Charles University in Prague in 2024 with a Master's degree in Protistology. Her thesis focused on the evolution of genome size in the alga Mallomonas in relation to the ecophysiology of this taxon. In the same year she joined Josef Komenda's group as a Ph.D. student. Under the supervision of Vendula Krynická, she is working on the modulation of global regulatory pathways, especially the NtcA pathway, for enhanced production of storage biopolymers in the cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803.
