Mukut got his MSc in Agriculture at the Kangwon National University, Chuncheon, South Korea. In his thesis, he worked on the role of transcription factors behind cold tolerance in plants. In 2024 he joined the Group of Radek Kana in the PHOTOMACHINES project and have started working on the bioenergetics of cyanobacteria using model organism Synechocystis PCC 6803.
