Martin Tichý

MT has been dedicated to the molecular genetics of cyanobacteria since his Ph.D. His research focuses on the roles of various proteins in photosynthesis, pigment biogenesis, and protection against reactive oxygen species. His primary approach involves generation of spontaneous suppressor mutations and functional complementation of various mutants, followed by localizing these mutations through whole genome resequencing. This information helps identify new structural and functional relationships between proteins, which can be further explored.
