Research Interests

My main research interest is the cell biology of protists. In my previous work, I focused on heme metabolism in trypanosomes and related organisms. Currently, my interest extends to other protists such as Tetrahymena, Phaeodactylum, and Chlamydomonas, where we study different biosynthetic pathways such as for phosphonates, carotenoids and chlorophylls.
